Aisha Sharp, LPCA

Aisha chose this field of work because of the lack of representation. Within her community, ‘going to therapy” was never a thing. She states she was taught to “shake it off” or told “everything would be okay”, without unpacking any of the events that occurred. She received her masters degree at the University of Bridgeport in May 2020 in Counseling and Clinical Mental Health. She has experience with Adults and Adolescents (starting at age 15). She likes to conduct therapy with a Solution Focused and Person Centered approach. She is a firm believer that we have the tools to get through the emotions and transitions that we are faced with, but often need help sharpening our tools to get the work done. She is transparent and welcoming, laid back but willing to hold you accountable with your journey in therapy! Aisha will be working part time, offering virtual sessions.
